Chaffle

INGREDIENTS serves 2

  • ½ cup Finely Shredded Cheese

  • 1 large Pasture Raised Egg

INSTRUCTIONS

Prep Time 5 min Cook Time 10 min

  1. Preheat your mini waffle maker until hot.

  2. Combine egg & cheese together in a small bowl, stir till combined.

  3. Pour half the batter into waffle maker. Cook until browned and crispy, about 3-5 min.

  4. For best results, allow to cool on a cooling rack.

Mishi Tips

Three things to keep in mind to alter the recipe to your unique needs:

  • If you’re avoiding dairy, omit the cheese and add an extra egg or sub with crushed pork rinds instead.

  • Don’t have a mini waffle maker? You can double the recipe for a regular sized waffle!

  • You can make a big batch & freeze for up to 3 months to savor your leftovers. (It heats up well in a toaster).

Additional add on’s

  • Add 2 tsp of Italian seasoning + 1/4 tsp garlic powder to make garlic bread or a pizza crust base.

  • For a savory flavor use cheddar cheese.

  • If you’re avoiding gluten and or grains, chaffles are a great substitute bread! Use them as a bun for burgers, morning bagel, avocado toast or sandwich.

  • Your options with how you make it and what you use it for are endless!
